Summer is here, much faster than expected! Schools are out, the weather is warm and the fruity drinks are here! Why not make this summer a little extra interesting? Here are some awesome things you should definitely do before the end of this summer!
Start a garden
There is always a different type of satisfaction in making things grow out of the ground. A lot of people plant gardens and that is one thing you should too. You can grow flowers, vegetables, fruits, or even herbs and spices. Gardening and even weeding is extremely fun and can be oddly calming and therapeutic. Plus at the end of the season, you get to enjoy a fresh meal filled with the amazing things you grew. If you can't eat it, decorate our house or room and you will feel the freshness in our surroundings. It’s a win-win!
Go hiking and camping
Enjoying the outdoors is always a good idea. Grabbing a tent and sleeping bag, trekking out to the middle of nowhere, and sleeping out in the open can be a liberating and refreshing experience. You’ll be away from civilization, away from the Internet, and bonding with nature. It’s great exercise and experience. Have fun but make sure to be careful in terms of wild animals!
It’s always great to help those in need or to volunteer in places around your community. It’s your community, so why not help keep it safe and clean? You can clean up your local park, help organize sporting events and help make a difference. Come on, get out there!!
Have a BBQ
There is no better time to have a BBQ and invite your friends, neighbours, and family over to have a blast! It’s a fun time and it’s a great way to socialize with the people you care about. BBQs are also delicious and remember, you can BBQ anything you like. Enjoy!
Go connect with your real life friends.
Everyone is on the Internet these days with school, work and endless meetings. Some people even keep their face pointed directly at their phones even when they’re outside. Sometime this summer, make sure you set the phone down, step away from the computer, and experience life without the Internet. Make sure you stop by and see your friends. Catch up and do things that you used to do before the Internet became a dominant force in our lives. Your brain will thank you because sometimes, you just have to get away from the web. Let's try to regain our social lives back, but of course, make sure you are safe!
What’s your plan for the summer??
I hope you enjoy your summer!
